Hilltop Vet Clinic is proud to serve Whitecourt, Alberta and surrounding areas for their small and large animal veterinary needs.  Our team is committed to educating our clients on how to keep your pets healthy year round, with good nutrition and exercise; and helping maximize the production potential of cow-calf operations. We also treat companion horses, small ruminants and camelids, and the occasional exotic or pocket pet. We pride ourselves on staying on top of the latest advances in veterinarian technology and above all, remembering that all animals and pets need to be treated with loving care in every check-up, procedure, or surgery. 

The Hilltop Veterinary clinic was established in 2004 by Dr. John Kyle.  John served the area for many years until retiring in December of 2010. Long time associates Dr. Claire Ainsworth and Dr. Janelle Gauthier purchased both Mayerthorpe Veterinary Services and the Hilltop Veterinary Clinic from John at that time.  Together with their dedicated staff strive to maintain the same high level of commitment to the practice of Veterinary Medicine that John did.

The practice has grown over the years and two new associate Veterinarians have joined our team.  Dr. Sarah Wahlert has been part of the practice since 2013, and Dr. Kayleigh Mahony has been with us since 2018.  

The practice continues to expand services, in no small part due to the help of our loyal and hard working support staff.
